Biography

I am a PhD Candidate in Applied Mathematics at York University under the supervision of Dr. Jianhong Wu, a member of the Laboratory for Industrial and Applied Mathematics and a Data Scientist at FITFI. My research focuses primarily on Machine Learning and Computer Vision. In particular, I study how to effectively utilize synthetic data to train Convolutional-based Neural Network models, with applications to Light Field synthesis and compression. I have also worked on numerous COVID-19 projects related to optimal vaccination logistics, contact rate prediction and transmission modelling in collaboration with the ADERSIM team at York University.
